Dilong melanos is a pint sized predator, and a member of the Tyrannosaur family. Despite their small stature, they make up for it with tenacity and stealth, as can take down animals as large as they are.
They live alone or in pairs in the underbrush of forests, their black coat of feathers gives them near perfect camouflage in the dappled light, hiding them from larger predators. Dilong have excellent eyesight, besides having good night vision, they can see ultraviolet light and colors we can't see, as each Dilong bear distinctive markings invisible to the human eye.
