Amargasaurus (Saurian Isle)

 Size comparison:

Length: around 9 meters

Weight: 4 tons

One of the smallest sauropods on Saurian Isle, Amargasaurus spinamembrinis bears a double row of sails, lined with keratinized spines. These spines are extensions of their cervical vertebrae, and are mainly used for intraspecies combat, where the males joust for breeding rights. However their keratinized and sharp nature means they can just as easily skewer any would-be predator that comes too close. They live mostly solitary lives, relying on their camouflage and spines for protection.

Occasionally they will feed off carcasses and lick bones or rocks, they do this to maintain bone density and regrow the spike's keratinous layer since they moult them once a year, during this time they can be very aggressive to anything that disturbs them.

This all shows that, despite their short stature, they make up for it with attitude and weaponry, making them a fascinating species.
