Styracosaurus (Saurian Isle)

 Size comparison:

Length: 5.5 meters

Weight: 2.7 tons

A social herd animal, Styracosaurus ornata lives in mixed herds with other ceratopsians. It is the second most common species of ceratopsid, dotting the plains and scrublands across the south side of Saurian Isle.

Due to their strong social mentality they have been known to foster juveniles of other herbivore species, whether related or not.

The distinctive crown of spikes on it's impressive frill are mostly for show, though they can also wield them to rake against rivals or as a guard to protect their vulnerable necks. The main weapon is their straight nasal horn, used for territorial fights in a fencing match, or as lances, for spearing a predator's vulnerable area when cornered.
