Spinosaurus species B, or "Spinosaurus" terrestris is a recently evolved species of spinosaurid, evolving only about 26 million years ago during the Oligocene. It has powerful back legs and a broader, stronger skull than any other member of it's family for hunting land based prey. Wicked claws on it's hands slice up prey into bite sized pieces, these claws are over 2 feet long and are it's most dangerous weapons.

Juveniles and subadults of this species have short, wide skulls compared to the adults, an unusual trait especially in the Spinosauria.

Despite their terrestrial biology, Spinosaurus-species-B still have an affinity for wetland environments, especially along the southern and western forests and grasslands, ambushing large prey that come near the rivers. In general, they are more aggressive and tenacious than their aquatic relatives, though they still can form social bonds between members of the same species, most notably during the wet season.

It's morphology have diverged so much from Spinosaurus-species-A, that some researchers have suggested that it belongs to a different genus entirely. The current consensus is that it is a highly divergent species, though it's still a hotly debated topic.
